This, along with many others I received after a nice hot day of swimming at a neighbors. My sister, neighbor Tammy & I decided to take to the streets in our bikinis and play a game of tag on our bikes.
My sister was chasing me up a driveway when she tapped me with her tire and I flew up and over the bike. Landing with the bike on top of me, covered in blood my sister ran home. I was then dumped in the tub to get the cuts cleaned & asphalt out of my wounds.
Like I said, I have many scars from this single incident and although I don't remember the pain, I'm sure it hurt. I wouldn't trade these scars for anything. They are my life. A visual representation of my childhood if you will.
Cocktails are serious business. We went out for an impromptu date night at our local restaurant/bar tonight, enjoying some of our favorite drinks. I had a Sazerac, he had a Velvet Jacket.

Found this cool store on Solano Ave. in Berkeley that has been there for 20 years called the Bone Room. They have all kinds of interesting taxidermy, bones, and casts of human skulls. I bought my good friend a spider broach with black rhinestones.
While this building was not Liberty County`s first jail, it served longer than any previous jail. When it was built in 1892 the jail had `all the modern improvements and conveniences of a first class prison,` Eighty years later it was condemned by Georgia Governor Lester Maddox as `a rotten, filthy rathole.`
Although there is no record of its construction or its architect, it is known that the contractor, a Mr. Parkhill, had completed the two-story, three-bay brick structure by October 1892.
The interior of the jail is divided by a brick wall into two sections housing a bull-pen (or drunk tank) and two cells downstairs and two cells and the upper part of the bull-pen upstairs.
The new county jail was opened in 1969 and the Old Jail was sold at auction on March 3, 1970 to the Liberty County Historical Society, which eventually donated the building to the City of Hinesville. The Old Jail is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
