Can you find the calling frog? There is a western chorus frog in this picture. I used less cropped version of this slide with my students. It's not really that hard, but it is best viewed large. Taken at Black Pond Woods, Ann Arbor, Michigan in April 1997.
He spent the day practicing his goose call. In the house. It was a bit painful, but how can I get mad at that face? I just couldn't. He was beyond excited. He and his dad spent the evening together lying in the corn field calling to the geese. It was so much fun to watch!

(For those that may worry we live on a dead end street with little traffic, so this is safe. He's also a very good road crosser.)

DESIGN INSPIRATION
Kim Hubball’s design is based on the verse Four Calling Birds from the song The Twelve Days of Christmas. She wanted to focus on the birds themselves in her design, and has painted them as large as possible to wrap around the Snowman’s body. The design is a contemporary take on Scandinavian folk art illustration and uses bold colours and geometric patterns.

University of Arkansas celebrated its homecoming game last Saturday and my daughter, Asst. Captain of the Colorguard was recognized as a senior member of the band. On top of everything else the Razorbacks won over a team that was favored to beat us. Other team have cheers, we have a call. 60,000 fans chanting "Oooooooooooooooooooo Pigs, soooie, Razorbacks gets your attention!

El profesor Eduardo Roig, coordinador del Máster de Tecnologías en Edificación Sostenible de la Universidad Nebrija, abrió esta jornada en la que hizo referencia a la banda británica The Clash y su canción London Calling, para reivindicar responsabilidades, en este caso encaminadas hacia una arquitectura sostenible.
La situación actual de la edificación sostenible en España y la búsqueda de principios generadores de una Naturaleza Artificial estabilizadora de nuestro futuro común fueron los temas de este simposio, que reflexionó sobre los límites ortodoxos de la construcción –y destrucción- de arquitectura, cuyas bases se diluyen en pro de una nueva modernidad que busca la adaptación al medio.
El encuentro contó con María López de Asiaín, especialista en medioambiente de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño de la UCOL de México, que participó en esta jornada a través de una videoconferencia; Marta Húmera, responsable de proyectos de la Fundación de la Casa que Ahorra, Javier Mata, profesor de la Universidad Nebrija experto en eficiencia energética, y Rosana Rubio profesora del Máster de Tecnologías en Edificación Sostenible de Nebrija.

Over 200 bicyclists made good use of a commuter station at Union Station in the International District on Friday as they rode to work during Cascade Bicycle Club’s Bike To Work Day. Sound Transit, King County Metro Transit, Back Alley Bike Repair and the First Hill Streetcar were on hand to talk to bicyclists, offer minor repairs, talk about upcoming construction on Jackson Street and give out flat kits.
Went up to the Mission to play a bit with my new orb tool. It works ok but think it needs improvements. I am going to have to go back closer to sunset to get some light still in the sky.
