First stop on the Landmark Tour was the Lamberton conservatory in Highland Park. Inside were a nice variety of plants. This is a prickly pear cactus in bloom.

An Orange Hedgehog Cactus in bloom - it is hard to go more than three feet in the Phoenix Botanical Garden because there were so many pretty cactus flowers which required me to stop and photograph.

For years I have traveled out into the desert areas west of Salt Lake City to photoqraph cactus in bloom. Every year the amount of bees around the flowers have dwindled until this year there was none. Bees are disappearing at an alarming rate. If this trend continues many of the foods we enjoy will also vanish. I hope someone will come up with an answer to this important problem.
