I know that Fabian Nicieza created Deadpool. And while I enjoy me some Deadpool, my childhood jam was ol' Nathan Summers, aka Cable. So, I had to get my worn copy of X-Force #1 signed, and I always loved the Cable miniseries by Art Thibert / Fabian, so I procured an eBay Dynamic Forces signed copy by Thibert so that Fabian could sign that as well. The Split Second issue was procured prior to the con, as cover artist Kris Anka was at HeroesCon as well (Reilly Brown - you're next!).
This cable was used to snag the tailhook of aircraft landing on the USS Midway. It's about 3.5cm in diameter.
Dad suggested we drive over the Sunshine Skyway as it would be a good photo opportunity.
Part of the original bridge was destoryed in 1980 during a bad weather accident. I can remember as a child driving across the intact portion of the old bridge and being creeped out to see the other side just suddenly vanish. They've turned the remaining sections of the old bridge into parks/fishing docks.
From a distance the bridge looks kind of interesting, but as you get closer and start to go over you realize just how high and how narrow (especially with the road construction that's currently going on) it is. Luckily, I was both not driving and had the cables to look at instead of the side.

Frank and Myrtle are sitting/kneeling on the far right. Not sure which boys are Harold and Kenneth.
This is the first cabled bag I made, in a tote size (approx 15" long). Already I've gotten lots of comments on it!
And this isn't my complete collection. I left out a few headphones, mouses, coax, phones, besides all the cables that are currently
plugged in.
