We are in a "Restricted area." I was trying to get a picture of this reel from the garage door, reaching and stretching to get the camera around a truck someone had parked in the way when one of the guys working there offered to take a photo of Judy and I standing in front of it. Nice guy!

Most visitors fill the canyon floor below, or huff up one of the strenuous hikes (Angels Landing is Spectacular). But there are a few backcountry trailheads which provide alternative access to the East Wall - such as Cable Mtn / Deer Mtn trail and the East Rim trails. Below is the Virgin River, the Park Road (empty of vehicles because of the Summer Shuttle Bus exclusive), and the familiar Organ and Angels Landing rock structures. The valley floor is 2200ft below, and even Angels Landing is overlooked by 700ft vertical. Visible for it's many switchbacks is the East Rim Trail which climbs from the parking lot below to the final cut in the rim at the righthand side of the image.

I've finally knit a pair of cabled armwarmers that I like. Knit to go with my cabled scarf. Now to make a hat and complete the set.

The cables on the left should be like the ones on the right - as they were until some bright spark tried to steal the copper earth connection. Now the whole lot need to be replaced.

This hat has been in the making for possibly 2+ years. I started way back when and finally finished it after tinking back to omit one repeat only to still end up a too long hat. Plus it's also extremely roomy. So hmmm.

Same yarn as the Zen hat. I think this hat took a whole ball or more. It's been too long to remember. Just glad it's no longer a UFO haunting me in the corner. :)
