C-FICW - Fokker F-100 - Intair
at Toronto Lester B. Pearson Airport (YYZ) in July 1991
Intair had a very short life. Its original ancestor was Québecair who was owned by the government of Québec. It was mainly a regional airline except for a few flights in Florida and Europe. In 1985, Québecair was privatized, becoming Inter-Canadien, a Canadian Airlines connector. However, the rag began to burn very quickly betwwen Inter-Canadien and Canadian Airlines. Canadian Airlines level of service in Montréal and the remaining of Québec was (and remained until Canadian Airlines end ) very poor. With that & other various commercial conflicts, a split of Inter-Canadien from Canadian Airlines occured in 1989. This new split up airline was named Intair. They were covering roughly the north-east of North America. Intair operated passenger service between Toronto and Montreal as well as charter flights such as Orlando and Ft.Lauderdale. Intair had a fleet of 7 F-100's and 5 ATR-42's. Intair went out of business in August 1991 and resurrected as InterCanadien (1991) Ltd and then failed again in 1999

UP's heritage unit honoring the hometown favorite C&NW eases through Rochelle, IL, on 8-14-13. It would pause at Global 3 for a crew change and head on west.
I'm thinking about adding Normandy Stripes, but the angles would be a little annoying, as it would end up looking like a graph (as the tiles don't have angled edges).

Perfect little budget 1/64 diecast of a then current Mercedes-Benz C-Class saloon. Realtoy certainly knew how to craft their licensed castings and somehow cram them full of intricate detailing front, back and sides and then finish them in glossy and well applied paint. Definitely a golden era when their products were in abundant supply in UK big name stores and supermarkets. This one dates from sometime in the 2000's though was bought recently from Ebay, seemingly the only place to find Realtoy these days!
Mint and boxed.

C-GDJF - Questair Venture Model 20-180 - private
at Brantford/ON Airport (YFD)
Questair Inc was founded by Ed MacDonough in the mid 1980s. The Venture was designed by Jim Griswold, an engineer with Piper Aircraft and embodied technology used in the Piper Malibu. The distinctive layout of the design was intended to combine a large two-seat side-by-side cabin and rear baggage space with the smallest possible airframe in a highly streamlined design. This resulted in a good long range performance. The aircraft is of all-metal construction using pre-formed multi-curvature panels and is supplied as a kit to homebuilders. The Venture has a complex tricycle retractable undercarriage. The powerplant is a 310 hp Continental IO-550-G, designed specifically for the aircraft.
Maximum speed: 305 mph (491 km/h; 265 kn)
This plane looks like fun!
