Point Lobos State Natural Reserve - The jewel in the crown of California's State park system - Point Lobos is famous for its breathtaking two mile coastline whic offers to the visitor views of beautiful coves and mysterious caves, an abundance of spring wildflowers, nesting birds on offshore rocks, otters and seals, and dramatic Cypress trees precariously perched on rugged rock formations. Point Lobos is a nature lover's paradise.
Bird Island is located upper left. Thousands of birds, primarily Brant Cormorant and Pelagic Cormorant, breed on the island.

Well, my first spotting of Air Canada's latest colour scheme... Unfortunately I was at my regular spotting location near runway 24R when I noticed on my Flight tracking app it was coming into 06R instead.. so I drove over to 06R only to find out it was coming in on 24R all along..grr.. so, not nearly as good a shot as I wanted but at least here it is today but highly cropped. On the plus side the sun is on the right side for photography at this location and I'll have a billion opportunities to catch it on 28R in the future so no biggie. I kinda wanted to see the under belly though.. next time for sure. Look good.

14 March 1986. The Sigonella Base Flight C-131F departs from Valkenburg for the last time. Back to a sunny Italy. 141023 was commonly seen at Valkenburg, as she was based close-by in Europe. First at Mildenhall for many years and finally at Sigonella.
Less than three months later, on 2 June, she flew to an even sunnier AMARC for storage.
