Fairy-wrens & Scrubwrens quite often tap on my study windows, so when I heard a tapping this afternoon, initially I paid little attention. But it seemed a little louder than normal and when I glanced over my shoulder I was astounded to see the wonderful sight of a PB-q trying to get into my study, and it was no more than 1metre away from me. Not wanting to frighten it, I waited until it slowly moved away before grabbing the camera and running outside in the general direction it walked. I was lucky and got a couple of shots before it disappeared in long grass. A new sighting for the block (136) and a new species photographed for me. Thrilled.

These scans come from my rather large magazine collection. Instead of filling my house with old moldy magazines, I scanned them (in most cases, photographed them) and filled a storage area with moldy magazines. Now they reside on an external harddrive. I thought others might appreciate these tidbits of forgotten history.

JB heading through Les Combes during FP2 at Spa Francorchamps. I hope he saw me waving my pink T shirt through the gap in the fence on Eau Rouge during the race as he went past. Cheering him on all the way. Pink shirt in memory of John Button.
