JB heading through Les Combes during FP2 at Spa Francorchamps. I hope he saw me waving my pink T shirt through the gap in the fence on Eau Rouge during the race as he went past. Cheering him on all the way. Pink shirt in memory of John Button.

Spring really influenced my idea for this card. I cut a tree from a piece of brown suede paper....it's amazing how much this paper looks and feels like real suede. Then I added kiwi colored buttons that I laced brown with a synthetic raffia. I like the synthetic raffia here because it is shiny. I used a dot stamp on the background with VersaMark ink to add interest. A strip of white between the "hills" was added because they needed some definition. I stamped "thanks" in white and embossed it. I stopped there because I've found if you look at a card and like it, it's best to call it done. If you start adding things, pretty soon there is too much going on.

Because I never tire of taking pictures of my button shelf and because I reorganized it a bit.

I've got an antique mirror hanging on the wall beside it just because.

The shelf was build by my great grandfather. Repainted by me, Summer 2010.
