After I’d hiked to the Sierra Buttes lookout, which can be seen very small in this frame sitting atop the highest prominence, on this wonderful summer day I began to drive back to camp for a well earned steak and cocktail. However, my return drive was delayed a bit as I saw this scene unfold. I made a quick U-turn and drove the mile or so back up the hill above the trees and arrived to a clearing with about a minute to spare before the sun disappeared below the horizon and cast the buttes in deep shadow. I think it was worth the delay in dinner even if I’d worked up quite the appetite on the nearly 7 mile round trip hike.
Often called "butter butts" for obvious reasons. Beautiful little winter birds in Oklahoma. Yellow-rumped Warbler. Our beautiful world, pass it on.
I saw this happen a couple times. Two horses pressed their rumps together, rearing up their front feet a bit, kicking up dust, and then they just stopped and walked on. Interesting behavior.
The Sutter Buttes are a small circular complex of eroded volcanic lava domes which rise as buttes above the flat plains of the Central Valley of California in the United States. The highest peak, South Butte, reaches about 2,130 feet (650 m) above sea level. The Buttes are located just outside of Yuba City, California in the Sacramento Valley, the northern part of the Central Valley. They are named for John Sutter, who received a large land grant from the Mexican government. The Sutter Buttes are sometimes referred to as the world's smallest mountain range.
I seen many girls, in the past 5 years, I'm still a virgin, I'm probably, right now, army reserve, a reservist , i haven't touched one of the thousand, beautiful girls i have seen in this time. I'm always on duty . I was merely playing Marco polo with them, and afterward, after playing Marco polo, they became royal, and left and went to safety, and me with the horrible gig, I'm still not in safest, disabled and retarded I'm not able to so easily.so far i sadly, haven't yet, that's how new England says, royal, like the Kentucky royal baseball team.

Fog blankets the Sutter Buttes in this quintessential western U.S. scene. The Sutter Buttes are whimsically known as the world's smallest mountain range. You can literally drive around them in less than 1 hour. I know this as a fact. I've done it.

The lighthouse at the top of the Isle of Lewis - all a bit wild and windy, got blown and dropped the camera and damaged the lens, the electronics of it anyway
