Noord-Brabant -
Around this time of year, the tulips slowly reappear above ground, in one location a little earlier than the other location (rather late this year due to the harsh winter), depending on how sheltered the tulips are. They form a beautiful spectacle of bright colors in the typical Dutch polder.
Noord-Brabant -
Despite the dark weather, the surroundings here look colorful in West Brabant. Not only the colors are beautiful, but when you walk around these hyacinthfields it also smells wonderful l Not a bad thing to take a nice walk around these bulb fields.
Zuid-Holland -
All visitors to the flower growing areas are outraged to ask why the tulip growers cut off all those beautiful flowers from the tulips in the spring. That is not because they do not like the tulips, on the contrary they think they are beautiful, otherwise they would never have become a tulip grower. But a tulip grower needs the tulip bulbs and not the flowers. The grower lets his tulips bloom every spring, this is the time to check them. Line by line he goes to see if there are any wrong varieties or tulips that are unhealthy because they have been affected by, for example, a fungus or virus.

This field with faded giant onion (reuzenui - Allium giganteum) inspired me. It is an Asian species of onion, native to central and southwestern Asia, but cultivated in many countries as a flowering garden plant. It is the tallest ornamental Allium, in common cultivation, growing to 1.5 metres (4.9 ft).

Tulips in a soft yellow color. It was my first time in the bulbfields and I really enjoyed it. Could be an annual trip :-)
The cover of the deck plans of the liner in her former life. The colour scheme of the livery had changed, and some hardly visible extensions of the fore decks had been carried out -- but on the whole, externally, she was pretty much the same ship. Not so internally.
Where I live, in April the bulbfields start to flower again. If you could only smell these hyacinths!

I dithered between the Hoi An market and more bulbfields.
The veggies won over the tulips. This time.
