On a cool walk at the base of Mt Ainslie. The Buff-rumps were part of a winter Mixed Feeding Flock, together with Grey Fantails, Spotted pardalotes, Yellow-rumped Thornbills and a couple of Golden Whistlers. I like the way the light has caught this little critter.

A day when moths have presented themselves to me. First a Mint Moth found, not surprisingly on the Catmint, then a Buff-Tip Moth found on the front door whose camouflage is to look like a birch twig. Finally a Large Yellow Underwing landed on the fly curtain on the conservatory door. Unfortunately this kept blowing about so not as sharp as I'd like.
A poor docuemntation shot of this great bird. Way up in the canopy this male was calling out. Not seen in the photo is its longish tail. Definitely worth a flickr search for other people's photos. But hey, at at least I saw one.

Buff-bellied Hummingbird, Amazilia yucatanensis, Colibrà Vientrecanelo, Amazilia Yucateca, Aves, Mexico, Tabasco
Dos semanas de intentos me costó esta foto. Lo dejaré descansar un tiempo, aunque ya no le perturba mi presencia. Este asiduo visitante a mi jardÃn también es llamado Amazilia yucateca. Two weeks of efforts took me to get this shot. Ill let him rest for a while even though he is starting to tolerate me.
