The Camellia on the edge of the property where my wife and I reside, is starting to bud!

last week we had tons of rain (flooding some areas) and warmer weather. the gardens began to awake in the midst of a faux spring...today it's gloomy and a hard freeze is predicted. I hope the garden buds survive it....but I'm afraid they will not.

A recent sketch I did from a photo I shot. This is the reference image I am using to create two different images in two different mediums. One will be a watercolor about 18" x 24", while the second image will be an 8" x 12" Monotype print. However.... there is something about this photo version that I like as well, so I thought I'd post it and see what kind of recation it might get.
