What It Took (WIT)
This was taken at the Maker Faire in San Mateo, bubbles were being blown to keep the schoolkids entertained while waiting to get in. It was more of a light breeze than wind, but the bubbles were blowing nicely. The camera was already wanting to use a tight aperture so I didn't mess with it. I wanted to get a few little starburst in the bubbles. I did have to bump up the saturation in Lightroom to bring out the colors in the bubbles and I cropped out a truck to the left. This was more a random opprotunity to get something for the contest than a planned shot.
Capturing bubbles proved to be way harder than I thought.
I wanted a frame full of big round bubbles.
Instead I got this. A burst bubble.
I love it more than I would have loved a frame bubble-filled
:DD
Bubble Car 55020 was not part of my 1M55 bash but we did get a chance to fot it at Princes Risborough just arrived from Aylesbury.
Taken for Active Weekly Assignment - Ephemeral: Tie-died soap bubbles.
When I saw "Ephemeral" as a topic, the first thing I thought was "Soap Bubbles!". But soap bubbles are boring - so I tie-died a sink full of bubbles with food coloring.
I took quite a few pictures of them, but this one was my favorite, as the last ones were heading down the drain.
The rest are in the same set in my stream.
Hot bubble bath. I thought the running water looked pretty cool in this shot.
No animals were harmed to test this bubble bath product!
These bubbles were made by introducing a few small chunks of dry ice to a wine decanter filled with soapy water. This video will show you the setup: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJyHdD0MtGE
If the catty or the winged eye liner was not hard enough, we now have bubble eye liner, which is doing the rounds on almost all beauty and make-up blogs and websites. This trend was started by a make up artist Jenny Gonzales, who put up a video on her channel showing how she applied this eyeliner. And then this just went on to become a new craze among all make up channels.

A pic a day....
Isn't it funny, kids and bubbles are always fun and never cease to put a smile on your face. Something so simple as water and washing-up liquid can entertain everyone for hours!
Yes, I know the bubbles are blurred, but she was blowing them so fast I couln't keep up with her using my little point and shoot... now, if I'd had my big dslr, it may have been a different story... I may have to try this again with her one day soon!
Water Bubble
It's water mixed with cassava colored by Green dyestuff.
The cassava mixed in water will make water sticky.
I use straw to blow the atmosphere into the bottom of the mixed water. The Bubbles will happen and the cassava mixed in water make the motion more slow .
Rainy day experiment. Created a soap mix for long-life bubbles and photographed the light and density effects
