I've always thought that the bubbles in soda was absolutely magical; the way they'd float to to the top and disappeared always amazed me.
A good drenching rain made it possible to give the bubble umbrella another go -- its awesome. Please share my umbrella -- that song keeps running through my thoughts..
Saw this done a little while ago and have been dying to give it a try.
These are just bubbles from washing-up liquid. I used a black background, a glass or bowl of washing-up liquid & water (mixture) and a straw to blow the bubbles.
Strobist set-up: Einstein 640 with blue gel subject right and up at 45 deg. Triggered with Cybercommander.
A few more oil and water shots from my experimenting session the other day. I like the effects that you can create from the water and oil.
I took a picture of this bubble and loved the reflection in it. I went into Topaz and added the star effect on the sunlight.

Was blowing some bubbles with the kids and decided to take a few snaps. I think I like this one the best.
The folks upstairs purchased a bubble wand. Here I am trying it out, much to the delight of their son.
