"To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."

Capturing the zooming colors flying across the surface of a soap bubble is a terrific way to make your heart skip a beat.

I had just gotten the perfect recipe to make the bubbles stay underneath the paint long enough for me to snap this photo. This string of bubbles was exactly what I was looking for.

Bubbles - Macro Mondays Theme

Slippery slope in the bubble jar.

I don't work on Friday so my morning is house cleaning for me. It was much more fun to play with the bubbles after sluicing down the decking outside. I probably could've set this up better but the bubbles were popping quickly.

The title is my younger daughter's idea, I think it's a perfect choice :)

Looking Close... on Friday! theme Round in Vertical Photo

It's back to bubble time! I particularly liked the subtlety of this bubble caught on some moss. It looks quite space agey, it’s also looks like it’s on life support, or perhaps it’s a new method for harvesting oxygen?

I tried out some new ideas for the theme but disappointment and a lack of time meant that I had to ditch the project ...for now.

Happy Looking Close... on Friday! 😊

Vattnet i hinken fick ett lock av is, med massor av bubblor.

Kan man bli annat än bubblande glad 😃

(Kassina senegalensis) Kassina is a genus of hyperoliid frogs, commonly referred to as running frogs or kassinas. They are found throughout sub-Saharan Africa. They are characterized by preferring a distinctive "walking" with the back legs instead of the more traditional frog-hopping.
