I started this pattern using a smaller needle than was called for. The pattern calls for a 3.75mm and I don't have that size, the only ones that I have that are close are 3.5mm and 4.0mm. I got to a little farther than I am here and I realized that it was way too small with the smaller needles so before I got too far into the mitt, I frogged it and started again with the 4.0mm DPNs. I am loving this pattern and this colour combination!
Yarns:
Main Colour: Patons Classic Wool Merino in Black (colourway 00226)
Contrasting Colour: Noro Taiyo in Colourway 6.
Here's the pattern I'm using: Maggiknits: Newfoundland Mittens
I got this pattern from a flickr friend. Here's a link to her post where I saw them originally. I also followed her suggestion about doing the 5th row of contrasting colour in the main colour to avoid those funny little dots above the "bubbles".
got a bubble machine for my birthday specifically for photography. Little K was more than happy to assist in trying it out.
Bubbles were being created by a bubble machine in pioneer square over the weekend. I am not sure how to appropriately catch focus with bubbles that are traveling at a fast pace.
Any ideas anyone?
I really like the reflection in the bubble and how it is clearly defined and stands out . You can see the natural like in the background and the shadows of the trees on the ground.
