Little K agreed to help me with tonight's shot. I'd hoped to get some sunset bubble shots - but was just a touch too late. And because of the dark, I had to ramp up the ISO and slow down the shutter speed. The slower shutter speed resulted in the bubbles looking more fluid - which is an effect I found I actually kind of liked.

I happend across a street performer who was creating these magnificent bubbles. The way they were being created allowed me to put the camera inside the bubble for some amazing colour/light...
Had a play with some bubbles today. My "mixture" wasn't all that great and it was hard work blowing the bubbles and trying to take the shot before they burst :)

This bubble caught a downdraft wind and was just inches from popping in the grass. Also the reverse image is missing since the shot is not evenly straight on.
This is a first light image with new kit comprising of the SXV 694 mono cooled CCD and the Williams Optics FLT 98 Triplet on the NEQ6 mount. Its just three 1200 sec subs in H alpha, completely uncallirated!

Spheres - This one is going to be difficult. It probably won't be too hard to find something spherical to photograph, but your job is to somehow make it interesting. No points for cleverness...the thing you photograph should actually LOOK like a sphere in the photo (i.e. don't shoot the ground and say the Earth is a sphere; don't shoot the sun or the moon which look like circles). Also, no eyeballs.
I took Savanah out today to get some shots of bubbles for my Sphere assignment. Not sure if I'm going to go with bubbles for spheres but they were my first thought when I read the assignment, plus, she loves bubbles and we have such fun with them.
