British motorcycle of uncertain vintage and model, its a BSA is all I know...
Although I have had a lifelong affinity for the two wheel method of motorised propulsion, my effin arthritis got in the way, so now I can only take pics of bikes that catch my eye rather thrash the bejesus out of them on a Sunday. At least I didn’t end up missing a limb or crated before my time.
This one was gleaming in the feeble autumn sun, parked up on Matlock Bath’s main drag...I reckon the speedo is a tad optimistic ;)

A dapper fellow indeed.

Now where is that trigger? Two glamorous re-enactors almost ready for action on a BSA 500 motorcycle and sidecar, JAU 141D, serial number 5552498, in Surrey on 7th May 2022.
Memories of wartime Britain were resurrected in Surrey when visitors to the Rural Life Living Museum took a trip back through time to see what it was like in a small village in the south of England while troops were massing and preparing to embark on D-Day, the invasion of France. Motorcycle enthusiasts in wartime uniforms are seen around a 500 cc BSA and sidecar, JAU 141D / C 5552498, on 7th May 2022.

Here's a shot I took many years ago of my dad's 1955 BSA Shooting Star. This was a wonderful bike, built around the time when British motorcycles really did rule the world. This 1955 500cc twin model was bought by dad as a basket case and received a nut and bolt rebuild in dad's workshop. He packed in smoking and only ever spent on his bikes what he used to spend on cigarettes, hence his ability to buy the bike and then pay for any new parts etc. What a fine exchange.

"This is the BSA Bantam frame that was originally designed by the late Rob Homer.
Alan Whitton, and Paul Rogers-Ridgard, from "Derby Road and Race" did a deal with Rob, to continue to build the frames.
Paul says now, fifty have been produced by ..2018..
Rob, Alan, and Paul, ... hence "RAP"..
The current frames have been altered slightly from Rob's original design, as they now sport engine under-run rails, for the simple reason that the Scottish two day trial committee, decried that to compete in their once a year trial, engine under-run rails were a must to be fitted, as there was not a BSA Bantam trials bike made by BSA without them"

I think this is a Rocket Goldstar but let me know in the comments if it is not. Seen in Brighton in June 2022.
BSA motorcycle combinations were the mainstay of the Automobile Association’s breakdown fleet in the 1950s and the early 1960s. The AA used over 2,000 of the M20, and later M21 models, and was the last purchaser of the M21 when production ended in 1961.
This 1958 600cc BSA M21 model UYO 151 is on display at the Thinktank science museum in Birmingham. The Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) factory was located in Armoury Road, Small Heath.
