Bempton Cliffs RSPB, Yorkshire, UK. 4th July 2021. Up there as probably one of my most memorable birding highlights ever, incredible to watch so close flying amongst the gannet colony.

We spent a lovely few hours in the grounds of the Kingfisher Lodge in Julatten, up on the Atherton Tablelands. We didn't have time to stay overnight but we were welcome to wander their bird-rich grounds for a small donation towards Birdlife. These little guys were really cute - I do have a few images with cleaner backgrounds but I love the cheeky pose.

No. 140 in my Birds of Australia set.

The White-browed Coucal is a member of the Cuckoos family (Cuculidae) mainly found in sub-Saharan Africa. It is not a brood parasite like some members of the family. This bird was in Nairobi National Park.

Had my brows threaded today, not sure I’d do THAT again. I think they turned out great but not sure the discomfort was worth it haha

The white-browed fantail is a small passerine bird belonging to the family Rhipiduridae.

Black-browed Albatross near Eden (with Green Cape in the background).

After 3 days of searching we finally managed to see one of the rarest birds to visit the UK, a Black-browed Albatross. It was about 800 yds out to sea but then flew inland and ended up gliding at head height right in front of us. We saw it later with a nesting Gannet colony. An incredible experience.

Not great photos but amusing antics, swinging on the fern.
