Yellow-browed Bulbul — a flash of gold in the forest. 💛
Perched quietly against the deep forest shadows, this beautiful Yellow-browed Bulbul (Acritillas indica) stands out with its vibrant olive-green plumage, brilliant yellow underparts and striking yellow brow.
The dark background really brought out the bird's colours and that beautiful reddish-brown eye — a simple, quiet moment in the lush forests of India.

Just a lucky snap... : ) He was just quickly hopping through, surprised me. It was more of a reflex snap.
I do think I might clone out that spider (or whatever) lower left.

I was pretty keen to get onto this species on my Easter trip to the Vic Mallee with my friend Wilson. We came across a large flock feeding high up in Wyperfeld National Park. Took ages for one of them to get within a reasonable distance for a decent image.
My second passion after wearing boots is arched brows, I took this picture in fading light under a spotlight which I think helped emphasise them, maybe it's just me. lol. Thanks from Gem. xxx.

The Black-browed Barbet or Müller's Barbet (Megalaima oorti) is a bird belonging to the Asian barbet family, Megalaimidae.
It is 20-23.5 cm long. The plumage is mostly green apart from the head which is patterned with blue, yellow and red. There is a black stripe above the eye. The bill is black and the feet are grey-green. The Chinese name for the bird, "five-colored bird" (五色鳥) refers to the five colors seen on its plumage. Because of its colorful plumage and that its call resembles that of a percussion instrument known as a wooden fish, the species is also referred to as the "spotted monk of the forest" in Taiwan.
