Yellow Browed Bulbul | Acritillas indica | Taken @ Thattekad, Kerala | Mar -2016 | Copyright : AV Fotography
These little darlings are rather timid and will quickly fly away if approached. I decided to sit down and be patient, and after a bit of time, they started to become more relaxed and weren't bothered by me being nearby. A rewarding experience :-)
After 3 days of searching we finally managed to see one of the rarest birds to visit the UK, a Black-browed Albatross. It was about 800 yds out to sea but then flew inland and ended up gliding at head height right in front of us. We saw it later with a nesting Gannet colony. An incredible experience.
Tanzania - I have just returned from a wonderful trip to the Serengeti in Tanzania. The birds were plentiful. This is a picture of the white-browed coucal (Centropus superciliosus), a species of cuckoo that is widespread and common in many african countries.
The yellow-browed bulbul is a species of songbird in the bulbul family - mainly yellow on the underside and olive above with a distinct yellow brow.

I was going to say today but it is past midnight haha, yesterday i went to a part of the town creek which i had not seen before, it is a really nice little spot near the highway. I watched a group of Red-browed Finches go through a tree searching for food, these birds don't like to stick around with people about but none of them minded me standing so close which was great. There wasn't many clear chances for photo taking but i got this and i'm pretty happy with it.

Its flamboyant plumage shines out from the deep shadows of the rainforest. Turquoise-browed Motmot has a limited range, from the Yucatán Peninsula south to northwest Costa Rica. It is one of the most eye-catching of a very colourful family!
RSPB Bempton Cliffs, East Yorkshire. The good thing about the Green Warbler twitch is to get a free crack at Albert. After an hours wait he came in off the sea and flew around for 5-10 minutes. I dont think the thermals were too good as he was having to do a lot of flapping which gave good underwing shots (previous visit he flew for 40 minutes without hardly flapping once) which probably explained why the flight was relatively short. Its a good day when Albert is only the bonus bird. The only downside was getting stung by a wasp !
Black-browed albatross nest of the cliff edges of some of the Falkland Islands, mostly in areas untouched by the sheep.
They are monogamous, raising one chick a year. The egg is incubated for 70 days, and the chick fledges at about 120 days.
The mud nests are re-used each year creating a mosaic of mounds all just outside pecking distance of each other.

Gungahlin Hill (Crace, Canberra) - hiking through the various habitats, which include eucalypt forest, grasslands and woodlands. The Red-browed Finch is most easily recognised by its bright red eyebrow, rump and beak, on an otherwise green and grey bird.
