This view of 23 June 2010 shows the fells (labelled in previous pictures) in a very different mood. On the right - beyond the Mite viaduct - the bulk of Sca Fell broods under heavy cloud at the head of the Eskdale valley , while to the left of Whin Fell, Kirk Fell and Great Gable are completely obscured at the head of Wasdale.
This Ramsden Dock – Sellafield train is crossing the River Mite at Ravenglass with 57003 leading and 57011 on the rear.
The flasks - which are returning empty, having previously been used to transport vitrified HAW (Highly Active Waste) to Japan - are supported on eight axle KXA flatrols built by WH Davis of Shirebrook.
A small stand of silver birches line the A87 above Loch Garry. The fading light gave the scene a very dark brooding feeling.

An unidentified Class 156 Sprinter crosses Eskmeals viaduct working 2C44, the 08:10 Carlisle - Barrow-in-Furness service
3 loco hauled services seen here in an hour and a half, but this was the best picture with the dramatic clouds rolling in off the Irish Sea
Spent a couple of days covering some of the main locations on the Cumbrian Coast - a line that is new to me, even after 40 years in this game, and I wasn't disappointed. Not too many railway locations these days you can sit for an hour and hear absolutely no man made sounds. The only surprise was that despite 3 days of almost unbroken sunshine I didn't see another photographer
I moved a plastic cat shelter, there were about 36 holes. Some of the cicada quickly hid back in their tunnels, others were bolder or perhaps just slower.
This handsome dark and brooding figure is a ’69 Mustang Boss 302 that’s been hit with the Shakotan stick.
A clean and low stance coupled with an outboard hi pass oil cooler suggest one might want to think twice before messing with The Boss.

Looking SW from the expansive white sands of Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris, across the Sound of Taransay, at sunset. The brooding cloud is both tinged with shades of pink and lilac and, at the same time, is releasing a rain shower in the distance.

1. Tahlvin was born without the innate ability of the rest of his family to use magic.
2. However, thanks to the ingenuity of Hale, his inventor brother, the ink in Tahlvin's tattoos includes nanobots that allow him to overcome his handicap and manipulate magical energy.
3. His soulmate is Brandee, a human woman from an alternate reality.
4. As a mercenary for a company run by his family, he was once charged with assassinating Brandee.
5. He's an unrepetant smartass.
6. He was conceived in Alaska at the very end of the Klondike Gold Rush.
7. Tahlvin doesn't like his daughter's boyfriend Edmond. At. All. (However, he does give the guy credit for having the sense to fall in love with a wonderful woman.)
8. His biological father and him have a very strained relationship but, although Tahlvin secretly wishes he and his dad were close, he's too prideful to take the first step in mending it.
9. He's an adrenaline junky.
10. His greatest fear is that his family will be taken from him (as was previous wife, before Brandee, and their unborn child).

I realise this isn't very serious, but this is an attempt to illustrate the West: Introspection, Bear Black.
As this is one of the dogs' huge collection of toys, I expect he is brooding on when his time for evisceration will come.
Note that nest boxes should always be placed facing North East - away from the sun - research proves that cooler boxes yield bigger broods. Facing the sun is great for photos but poor practice.
