Road trip to Broken Hill with Marty
This is the road to the top of the slag heap, where there is a lookout, a memorial and various museum pieces of mining equipment
Broken Arch in Canyonlands National Park near Moab, Utah. The top of the arch is fractured in the middle, but so far the arch remains standing.
Their lives brushed ours like passing wings: soft, invisible, unforgettable. You never saw them in person, but your heart knows what it felt every time you read their comments on your photos. Like butterflies with broken wings, shining in their brevity, they still take flight.
And although your friends are no longer within your reach, they have been etched in the quiet corners of your soul. Every echo of kindness in their written messages, every feeling of being known without ever having met us, remains.

From the outside, this part of the forest looks healthy and strong. Except for our friend in the foreground .... But numerous trees are marked by the drought and the bark beetle plague, and we don't see it from the outside.
