A broken way upstairs, Bayless Paper Mill, Austin, Pennsylvania

Broken Hill at Torrey Pines State Reserve has long been on my list to photograph. I finally made it. The sunset wasn't that great, but I am still happy with the pictures. Taken with my DSLR vs. the other one which was taken with my iPhone.

Fish had a whole idea planned out with this shoot...and she got some great ones of herself in the wreckage. When she posed her feet like this though, I felt like it had a bit of lost little girl feel to it...I like how this one turned out. Thanks Fish, for letting me sponge off your idea! ;D

A broken gate overlooking Dovestone reservoir. I was trying to get some movement in the low cloud on the hills, but it didn't stray too far from its original position.

The remnants of the storm, both literal and psychological, remain with us. Taken with Fujifilm X-T50 and Brightin Star 35mm f0.95 at late dusk.

Granddaughter on her customized 4-wheel knee scooter. Has rear brakes, basket, thumb ringer bell, sheepskin saddle cover, and handlebar streamers • Broke her leg, just above the ankle, by stepping in a field hole while walking home from school. The broken leg, in a plastic cast, rests on the saddle while the other leg walks & pushes the scooter.

I have often commented on my fellow flickr friends when they create during pain or a crisis, how I admire that. I realize how cathartic it can be, how healing it can be. I am broken hearted right now and stayed away from flickr today. Then I realized how healing creating can be. I have hope in my pain and I know I am not alone. We are all broken, to some extent and I am thankful there is a Healer we can lean on.

Tomorrow I'll travel to Munich, a small holidays of 4 days :)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to upload photos for my "unofficial 365 project" from there, we'll see. Anyway, I'll catch up your photostreams when I come back ;)

Thanks for viewing!

This is one of three Lladro figurines which unfortunately was broken by my three year old niece on one of her daring escapades. This one sustained the most damage. My mom collects these and she was just heartbroken. My dad was able to glue her head seamlessly but the lower part of her body shattered. He tried to painstakingly glue the pieces together but it's almost impossible to mend the minute pieces. She was able to stand on her own feet again however, it left two gaping holes on her flowing gown. She holds a candle which represents hope. The hope that everything can heal and mend.. in time. She's shining brightly (thanks to photoshop) with all her glory. She is once again whole.

The coastal search has its fair share of pros and cons. My latest trip resulted in a 1am rescue mission from some best mates, a shredded backpack, a busted autofocus, lost another rubber tripod foot, 2 hours of sleeping in sand and a very nasty hangover

A catastrophe has befallen me! My Nikon failed and has had to be sent off for expensive repairs. It has captured around 30,000 images during its life so far and I'm not giving up on the damn thing yet. It's gone to a mysterious repair centre in the south where technical wizards with skills beyond the average camera shop employee wave their wands and replace the damaged components. It'll be a few weeks till it's back in my eager hands so my uploads will be limited for now.

O copo quebrou.... e eu click, click! hehe

i’ve mastered the art of avoiding those i love the most; because all my relationships run on such a thin time line of “who will be the first to leave?” if i admire you too much, and show you all the dusty corners of my heart - i have already set your fate in motion.

For 5 weeks this sophisticated piece of scaffolding which was fixed through my femur in two places, my tibia in two places and through my ankle, kept the smashed bones of my lower leg precisely in position.

I also got something called compartment syndrome which can cause the leg to have to be amputated. Fortunately they spotted it in time and took action (which involves slicing from the ankle to the knee), but it meant I was hooked up a vacuum dressing machine for many weeks (that's what the black thing is).

Now thats what i wanted to try!
