Fell victim to Winter's cold and snow (and old age.....)

Broken wing mirror glass lying on the road, reflecting summer sky

ODC. Playing with Food. Okay .............. I am not too creative and my imagination is under attack due to the rotten weather, dreary skies and muddy landscapes. So, I have been trying to work on inside shots - whether still lifes or macros. I tried to make a kaleidoscope out of broken life saver pieces (cute idea - huh!) Way too tough for me! See my sorry attempt below. ( I could have used this for "over-stretched!)

This was a shot I did for a competition at the local camera club, the title for the competition was "Broken"... it came second, I wish I had a link for the one that came first, it was awesome!

Much better on black, just click on the photo..

Below is yesterday's photo, with the answer to what the flower was, in the form of the original dandelion picture. Thanks for joining the fun :o)

Le miroir avec des inscriptions positives sur la retraite s'est retrouvé avec un coin fêlé et ça ne l'a pas empêché d'être présent sur une table basse du salon en souvenir des longues années passées auprès de super collègues. #Macro #MacroMondays #Damage

Summer Archives

There were two ways I could've approached this - the first was to try to bring out all the detail in the walls, the roof and the floor (and there were some cool details there admittedly). The second was this high contrast look. In the end, the mystery of the dark, negative space won me over.

Looking out a broken window inside an abandoned house in Hume, Canberra.

Big red deer stag with antlers in velvet. Don't think he will be challenging much during the rutting season as he has broken one set of antlers while the other one still grows. Still they all fall off at the end of the year and he can be more careful next year.

Every broken wing need not lose flight and this is one flying with its broken wings

Second roll with my first Oktomat to find out, if it really is broken. Well, so much for that. I had it exchanged for a new one. Lomography Oktomat, Lomography X-Pro 200, cross-processed

Colonial Cemetary

Chatham County

The headstones that have broken over the years and that have been misplaced are affixed to the brick wall in the cemetary. It makes for an interesting scene. Their headstones are broken and lost, but hopefully their lives weren't.

I just realized I took this photo on the same day he died, just 163 years later. That's kinda spooky!

- www.kevin-palmer.com - Before leaving Grasslands, I hiked the 7 mile (13km) Broken Hills trail at sunrise. These two red chairs are found at an overlook in the middle of the loop.

Spent a weekend at my brothers river home and had fun finding and taking pics of broken river glass.

Two broken street lamps were enough to let the full moon do it's work on these beach huts. Another Brighton cliché with a slight twist.

Fell with the lens head down on a flat hard tile :( The UV filter is gone. The lens seems to be okay.. though it makes a little noise while focussing.

And the camera seems to be working with no issues.

Still needs to figure out how best to get rid of the filter or atleast the glass remains. (the threads seems to have been damaged.. so it doesnt open the normal way)

Nice day of shoot came to this sad end. Saving grace was this shot (taken from my 55-200) proving that my camera is still doing good :)

In another news kartik deprived Sachin Tendulkar of another hundred! :(

Update 1: The lens looks alright :) I removed the broken glass pieces using a tong. The filter ring remains.

Update 2: Got the filter ring removed at a nikon stall in photofair 2010, mumbai. took a lot of hammering! this lens is sturdy!!

Broken shells fascinate me. Their intricate designs, their "bones," they way they capture and reflect light. They are what I look for on our beach trips. We don't have many "souvenirs" of our trips other than rocks and shells and photos. I love the interior glow to these tiny shells on a light box.

Saw this beautiful wooden carving in a garden on my way to Hotel.

At first sight, it looked as it was made in cement but later found out it was carved on a tree trunk.

An amazing skill to be appreciated and learned. Kudos to the person who carved it :)

Hole in one of our local roads, meaning, many houses previously in a through road, now have a cul de sac for quite some time.

This happened after the torrential rain we had for the last week, pushing water from one lake into another, collapsing the road in between. It doesn't say much for the road construction, just a thin layer of tarmac, and no support underneath.

We just went to have a look, thinking that there was flooding and water across the road.

Amazing...

I dropped my camera today!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGG!

I barely even dare to touch it.... My husband helped me to remove the broken filter.

Not sure if the camera is going to survive?!?!

I'm devastated, sad and really angry at myself!!! CLUMPSY ME!!!! *scream*

Happy weekend all:)

Thank you for your support, visit and comments on my stream, I really appreciate all of this:)
