8"x8". This is a picture of more light on it, shows the grout lines more in the black.
This is Flash, an adorable male brindle Greyhound around 13 months old that is available for adoption through the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas.
This is Whiskey, a 6 year old male Boxer mix.
At first glance, Whiskey may just seem like another pretty face. But there's much more to this brindle boy than meets the eye. Whiskey is ridiculously sweet. He looks at us with his enormous, pleading just-a-little-taste-of-that-cookie eyes and we just hand over the whole box of Trefoils. Resistance is futile. At 5, Whiskey prefers the quiet life, but he still has some "play" in him. He loves a nice belly rub and enjoys strolling right beside you. He will do just about anything for a treat and already knows some basic commands. It doesn't hurt that he has the most epic pointy Yoda ears ever. Not only is he as smart as the day is long, he's also heroic. That's right, Whiskey is a true American hero, throwing himself in between the staff and any errant bee that tries to attack. We love this guy with the fancy name and the humble, sweet soul. We'd all sleep easier at night with a dog like Whiskey curled up under the blankets with us. He is a wonderful companion and friend, but he does need a home without other dogs or small children.
Please e-mail Laura at lmckelvey@pawsatlanta.org or call (770)593-1155 if you are interested in fostering or adopting Whiskey. Whiskey's adoption fee has already been paid by a generous donor and so if you choose to adopt you will not need to pay PAWS for his adoption! We will still screen all applicants and, of course, all pets will cost money in the longterm. Food, toys, monthly prevention, grooming, and vet fees are to be expected when taking on a pet, but all of our pets will come to you already spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested, dewormed, and kept on monthly preventatives to get you get off to a great start!
I volunteered at PAWS Atlanta. I took photos of some of the dogs and cats that need homes. I thought I'd also remind people you can find great pets at shelters and in rescue groups. And of course, help control the pet population, please spay and neuter your pets!!
Bentley Just barely escaped this time but believe me when I tell you he did some serious body surfing that day.
Daily Gomez for M, 11aug09: Gomez the Great soaking up that cool basement floor just after a session at the dog park. The tongue tells the story.
It was a big day for this little Steeler fan! =) We couldn't take him to the rally in Heinz Field, so we were very happy to be able to take him downtown to the one thrown not by the Steelers, but by the city itsself. It wasn't as big or exciting, but any Steelers event is amazing, especially one we can bring little Arch to! We had to stand pretty far back from the stage because we couldn't squeeze through with him, but he seriously behaved himself, and this was wonderful practice for his CGC!
6.3.10,
Went into work at 11 today because of Memorial Day and worked 8 hours. Came home and ate, sat around. Then took this picture of Giz and I. She always does this and was being stubborn a little bit when trying to do this picture. haha
Mercy's brindle doesn't always show up very well in pictures. When I've just clipped her down, you can see the stripes clearly though.
Motley was fascinated by the TV documentary about Oetzi the ice man. A lot of cats watch Tv for the moving images, but Motley sat attentively for the whole programme except for the adverts. When the advert breaks ended, she was back to being entralled. This never happened before or since, so maybe in a past life she was an archaeologist!
Our 10 year old brindle boxer Duke was once the picture of high energy. In his youthful years he wouldn't hold still long enough to take a nap. Now, many years later he spends most of the day slumbering...with his tongue out. It's not the shot I wanted but I'm weeks behind and I had to use something just to get past this one and get caught up again.
