Photographing Periwinkle through a blood stain on our door. (The blood stain is obviously just a Halloween decoration, of course.)
I've been trying to get a photo of her in this position for a while. I call it the "Smelling my own butt" pose. She didn't seem to want to go inside after a walk, so I sat on the little brick wall outside my house, and she laid down on the side walk and struck this pose. Albi dog used to strike this pose as well.
Someone gave me a plastic dog toy that looks like a bottle of beer. For some reason, I think it's absolutely hilarious to watch Lucy with it. This is a screen capture from a video:
And let me say again: Lucy is a rescue from Baja California. A rescue group brought her from there to So Cal, and when she wasn't adopted there, she was brought by another group to Oregon, and we adopted her, just after Christmas 2014, via PetSmart in Beaverton. Most chain pet stores in the USA show rescued dogs, and the volunteers that rescue and care for these dogs rack up thousands of dollars in expenses. Don't complain about the cost - hand the money over and take that beautiful dog home!
