Following the Blitz bombing of Liverpool during the second world war, rubble from bomb-damaged areas was transported to the beach at Crosby to bolster the sea defences. It still remains to this day and there are lots of interesting pieces of brick and stonework to be found. A nod here to the work of Tom Fairclough, whose images of the area are stunning, take a look - bootlecollateral.blogspot.co.uk/

I went on the World Wide Photo Walk on Saturday in Lewes Delaware . It was started 3 years ago by Photoshop guru Scott Kelby. There was over 30,000 photographers who took part all over the world . Our group of 50 was led by Judy G. Rolfe, a former USA Today photo editor,and freelance photographer. I met some really niice people and had a wonderful time.

One final piece of street art as we head down towards Whitechapel.

On the site of where Pres. James Madison was born, at the border of Caroline and King George Counties. It's a small yet very striking brick church.

Brick found in old byre, Low Grange farm, Belmont, County Durham.

Taken at Cheonggyecheon in Seoul. Also known as Cheonggye Stream. At one time it was a cemented up into a highway and other things until it was fixed up during 2000s by Seoul city government.

Grimbsy Street, off Brick Lane, is closed for car parking in preparation for Tower Hamlet Council's clean up operations of the graffiti on that street (1-3 February). comparing cameras, this is the only set that shows a serious color varieation

This brick is amongst many from Coltness, on the steep path on the south side of Lanark. It came from the Meadow Brickworks in Carluke, and is over a hundred years old.
