Just another brick in the wall.

Martinsville, IN. This was the first alignment of what is now State Road 39 near the west fork of the White River on Martinsville's northwest side. Don't cite this as an authoritative source, but my reading over the past couple years suggests that Martinsville had a brick industry in the early 1900s, and that bricks were laid on the Dixie Highway (now SR 37) near Martinsville in about 1915, so I want to think that these bricks went in at about the same time.

Do you have to obey a sign you can't read?

I used the PTLens plugin for Aperture to correct the perspective here - was standing a bit below the sign when I shot the photo, but it should look like I am straight on...

This is some sort of tutorial on how I do my brick wall backgrounds. Though scrapbooking papers can give you a very realistic and easy brick background, sometimes I love to make a "real" wall with texture and color.

The wall is made out of styrofoam, the window is made of foamboard.

Not much done, yet. Please ignore the blue paints, they're from a different project.
