Eroded bricks, within the old town of York, Upper Canada. Darn. I can't remember exactly where I took this photo.
Bricks can be beautiful - especially when lit up well by the sun to enhance colours and textures. These ones here show incredible diversity in these attributes over a range of scales, so you can zoom in and the diversity is still apparent. Try it and see - then move the zoom view around.
The impact of age is clear on this very old brick wall. Modern bricks are extremely regular but these bricks were vary varied in size. Time has then changed the faces differentially. This wall could define the term character.

Something a bit different today. I was taking some pictures in a parking lot of a hotel we were staying at in Cuba, and happened to look down. The entire lot was comprised of paving stones, interestingly enough, which had been imported from Belgium. I thought to myself, there's a picture. So thinking of a desktop or background, I raised the camera and composed the shot. This is the result, no crop at all.

The performance-artist collective Brick x Brick stages a public protest at the Woman's March in United Nations Plaza, the gateway to San Francisco City Hall. Members of the group wore clothing emblazoned with what they described as Trump’s “statements of misogynistic violence.” The women formed a line and joined hands at the area in front of City Hall. They wore jumpsuits printed with black-and-white bricks, on top of which were laid colored panels containing texts such as “Bimbo” and “Grab her by the pussy” — all sexist words and phrases uttered by the US president, Donald J. Trump.
Woman's March's took place all across the country. Millions surged into the streets to protest the Trump presidency in what was likely the biggest single-day protest in American history.

This location is not included in the Expeditions we undertake.
I believe that there are certain boundaries were each human being, be it a photographer or not, has to make his own personal choice. This can not be a matter of touristic photographic trips..
