Wild cod breaded with salt and vinegar chips and fried to perfection. Topped with coleslaw, fresh tomato, shredded lettuce and tartar sauce on an ACE Bakery bun.
when i saw this on the menu, i thought they meant that the burger patties were breaded and deep fried, japanese style. but no, it's a fully formed and cooked double cheeseburger that was dipped in an egg wash, then breaded in panko crumbs. i also thought, "dang, only on guam" but apparently it's a staple of state fairs all over the mainland.
for bunch of pants, who reminded me of its existence.

"En de Canon" Restaurant
The listed house, first mentioned in a tax book in 1632, is a wine bar and restaurant in which a winegrower from Baden-Württemberg (Southern Germany) offers his wine. And so an old tradition is cultivated, because already in the 17th century Prince-Elector Jan Wellem drank wine here as a regular guest.
Lime jasmine rice, with a corn flour breaded shrimp, covered in a sweet and spicy sauce. So simple and so tasty- one of my new favorite copycat recipes!

I tried these vegan "crabcakes" for the first time but unfortunately, I did not like these at all. Some of my friends loved these but they just weren't for me. The sesame asparagus was delicious though!

Breaded pork chops on my first cast iron pan...
definitely awesome, plus you get a workout shuffling the pan around...
Most simple recipe for the seasoning, a little salt, onion powder, garlic powder, flour, and black pepper cooked with olive oil.

Tonkatsu is one of the most beloved “western style” Japanese foods in Japan. It is pork chop breaded with flour, egg, and Panko (bread crumbs), then deep fried. It’s a well-loved comfort food.
We had the chance to make a visit to the "legendary" まい泉Mai-Sen Tonkatsu shop, which was being rated as the Best Tonkatsu in Japan.

This photo shows a delicious plate of what appears to be schnitzel or breaded cutlet served with several sides. The main protein has a golden-brown crispy coating and is garnished with a lemon wedge. Accompanying it are roasted or pan-fried potatoes with herbs, a small portion of coleslaw or cabbage salad with some fresh lettuce, and a small dish of sauce or gravy in the upper part of the plate. The meal is served on a white plate and placed on what looks like a wooden table surface. This appears to be a classic restaurant-style presentation of a traditional European dish.
a popular philippine street food made from boiled chicken or duck egg dipped in tempura batter then deep fried till crispy brown. they sell for around USD 20cents each
This was new to me, and I am not sure whether I really liked this..... :) but it seems a very old concept according to Wikipedia: Fried ice cream is a dessert made from a breaded scoop of ice cream that is quickly deep-fried creating a warm, crispy shell around the still-cold ice cream.
There are conflicting stories about the dessert's origin. Some claim that it was first served during the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, where the ice cream sundae was also invented.
Though in 1894 a Philadelphia company was given credit for its invention describing : "A small, solid cake of the [ice] cream is enveloped in a thin sheet of pie crust and then dipped into boiling lard or butter to cook the outside to a crisp. Served immediately, the ice cream is found to be as solidly frozen as it was first prepared.".
A third claim, beginning in the 1960s asserts that fried ice cream was invented by Japanese tempura restaurants.
In the United States, fried ice cream has been associated with Asian cuisine, appearing in reviews of Chinese, Japanese, and Polynesian restaurants in the "Dining Out" section of the New York Times in the 1970s.
It also came to be associated with Mexican cuisine, in large part due to national chain Chi-Chi's adopting a fried ice cream made with tortillas and cinnamon as its "signature dessert" when it opened in the early 1980s.
The dessert is commonly made by taking a scoop of ice cream frozen well below the temperature at which ice cream is generally kept, possibly coating it in raw egg, rolling it in cornflakes or cookie crumbs, and briefly deep frying it.
The extremely low temperature of the ice cream prevents it from melting while being fried. It may be sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and a touch of peppermint, though whipped cream or honey may be used as well.
The Asian recipe usually uses tempura batter. Mexican versions use corn flakes, nuts, cookie crumbs, or tortillas for coating. In addition the Chinese recipe starts with a large ice cream ball, resulting in a colder core than all other variants. Common flavours in Asian restaurants are green tea, vanilla, taro and red bean.

It has been too hot to spend a long time in the kitchen . So a rummage through the freezer produced a Breaded Chicken Steak , with a cooked with some skinny fries . White which I served some onion rings and a few baked beans .
To which I added some hot chilli sauce to spice things up a bit .
