The brass instrument caught my eye, perhaps he was in the local band, the flower urn at the base shows he was well liked at St Georges and Gin Pit so may have worked in the workshops at Gin Pit which served both pits.

Yesterday my cousin and I went to the San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade. I fell in love with these giant brass instruments the college bands were playing. Not so much for the music, but for the color and reflective qualities.
