Operation Christmas Child Reunion.

This trumpet player use to come every year to play some Christmas Carols on his trumpet while volunteers worked in the warehouse with the shoebox gifts for children. This was his way of volunteering and giving of his talent.

It was nice to see him again after five years! The warehouse work for Samaritans Purse in Ontario, closed and moved to Calgary, Alberta five years ago.

I was on staff for 4 years myself along with my son for 1 year.

It was nice to come to this reunion and see some of the wonderful people I use to work with again after five years!

I haven't taken her out in years. Now that I have, it's a joy to see her again. She's still my star.

A whole new genre of music was created in America–jazz. This is the current Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Daniel M. Sasson is a music student who plays various instruments, composes, and writes his own songs. In this case he was playing the transverse flute.

This is not the same photo as the link below is. I decided to use the second "take" of these people performing and doing the usual Lightroom and Photoshop Express routine. So it isn't exactly the same photo that was reworked, as was the case with most of these "re-do" photos.

This was taken at the "new" Santa Monica Place. It used to be an indoor mall when I first moved out here in 1981, but it was torn down and turned into an outdoor mall. So, yes, this is an exterior shot.

The Brass Band from Cozmeşti was founded almost 120 years ago, and it is the oldest brass band in the country, with deep roots in our culture and tradition, winning numerous trophies and awards at festivals and competitions, thanks to the interpretation technique, unique and unmistakable, performing without any difficulty any kind of music, just live, just „by ear”, without knowing the musical notes, starting from our local music, hora and sârba, and continuing with Balkan music, pop, gypsy, etc.

In 1969, the band participated in the first brass bands festival in the country. Comprising a total of 80 musicians, they obtained the great trophy, and it’s also when they made the first recordings at Electrecord Labels. After many years of artistic experience, the band started to receive invitations to various festivals in the country and abroad. We are happy to say that we had concerts in Italy, France, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, etc. The vocalist, Ina Chiriac, has been working with The Brass Band from Cozmeşti since she was 14.

GYPSY BRASS

from Romania

FANFARA DIN COZMESTI

Their tempo is breathtakingly fast, their instruments dented and beloved, and their music gets you off your feet: the 13 person Romanian Gypsy brass band from Iasi is the number one address in their homeland for births, weddings and funerals. They are even at hand to help out desperate lovers by serenading sweethearts under their windows.
