We used to say that to our mother, my brother and I. On our endlessly long car journeys – like a movie. On these trips by car there was always so much to see, unforgettable images for my memory. And unforgettable sounds when my mother picked up the harmonica and played one piece after the other – as a replacement for a radio, we didn't play that very often, maybe because the reception wasn't the very best ;-) Nice, unforgettable trips of my childhood in harmony.

Operation Christmas Child Reunion.

This trumpet player use to come every year to play some Christmas Carols on his trumpet while volunteers worked in the warehouse with the shoebox gifts for children. This was his way of volunteering and giving of his talent.

It was nice to see him again after five years! The warehouse work for Samaritans Purse in Ontario, closed and moved to Calgary, Alberta five years ago.

I was on staff for 4 years myself along with my son for 1 year.

It was nice to come to this reunion and see some of the wonderful people I use to work with again after five years!

I haven't taken her out in years. Now that I have, it's a joy to see her again. She's still my star.

This is not the same photo as the link below is. I decided to use the second "take" of these people performing and doing the usual Lightroom and Photoshop Express routine. So it isn't exactly the same photo that was reworked, as was the case with most of these "re-do" photos.

This was taken at the "new" Santa Monica Place. It used to be an indoor mall when I first moved out here in 1981, but it was torn down and turned into an outdoor mall. So, yes, this is an exterior shot.

These are flattened brass instruments suspended from the celing at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

I'd have loved to get the entire celing circle in, but I was lying flat on my back to get this shot. Much to the amusement of the other visitors!
