This photograph was composed at the Town of Branch, Newfoundland, if memory serves. A different way of life. I stopped at the town's only store, and chatted with a few citizens, who talked proudly about their way of life.

This photo was taken of some branches in front of a brick building. The brick added to the deep mahgony red color in the background, which I really liked :).

At Easter it is tradition in many Dutch houses to decorate branches
-preferably those of the corkscrew hazel.
Originally only hand painted easter eggs were used, but nowadays more easter related items are seen hanging around.
So I've been polishing up on my PS skills, and tonight I came up with something I don't believe I've ever seen before. I think it looks cool! The outline here shows what this was but the color is all off. It was a brown branch with little green leaves. I did not paint any color into the image. I was trying some different blending methods on a layer that had been motion blurred and this jumped out at me.
For those interested in the look I was trying to achieve have a look Here.
I know this is very different for me, but hey... I liked it.
Anyway, let me know what you think.
Where the Appalachian Trail and the Benton MacKaye Trails part ways, you will discover Long Branch Falls. There is a parking area at Three Forks and it's a 1 mile hike to the waterfalls.

Yet another minimalistic capture, where I quite like the arch-shape of the bigger branch and v-shape of the smaller branches on which new leafs are sprouting. Hope you like it too!

Something a wee bit different from Kinclaven Woods. Don't worry I've taken plenty bluebell images too but I tried to concentrate on some of the details as well. I loved this green whispy growth that covered some of the tree branches! So I thought id try to capture it close up.
