One of the many glacier-fed rivers in Denali, this type of river is known as a braided river, due to the many interweaving paths it takes.

Where the river braids out, it's nice paddling. But most of the Sloko is big, jumbled up boulder gardens. I paddled the biggest rapids I've ever paddled in an inescapable canyon one evening. Not many pictures because we were too busy paddling. But, toward the end, the river gets bigger and there are big, fun waves and cleaner rapids.

I got this unusual side braid at the hair fair (freebie at 'WAKA and Yuki' maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Iridium/192/101/21). I usually don't wear hair with straight bangs but the ones on this are lovely, soft and realistic...very well done. The top is the welcome freebie at Jill...it comes in a longer version too.
