One of the men from the Celtic tribe passes by me. He looked ready for battle. Some of them carried spears, hatchets, bows, and shields.
Braids, collar, chains and gasp! No makeup. :P
Hehe, I actually very rarely wear makeup, and when I do, only shadow, eyeliner and lipstick, but I do wear a lot when I do, it's usually obvious, if you can see my eyebrows, it's probably because they're heavily lined and mascarra'ed. :P
I dont own or like cover-up, it causes more problems then it fixes. :P
One of the many glacier-fed rivers in Denali, this type of river is known as a braided river, due to the many interweaving paths it takes.
This vintage brass Governor paraffin blowlamp has been beautifully upcycled into a vintage Edison industrial style table lamp. This lamp would look great as a statement piece in a livingroom, bedroom, office, bar, restaurant, or any other area.
John Shaw & Sons (makers of the Governor brand) were a British tool and engineering company dating from 1667 to 1973 in Wolverhampton, England.
This vintage blowlamp has the Governor trade mark logo and has been fitted with metal antique style lamp fittings with a 40w vintage LED filament Edison style light bulb, creating a lovely warm glowing light with a gold tint. These Edison style LED bulbs use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.
The lamp is also fitted with a vintage style brown braided flex cable with an inline switch, a metal antique style cord grip, and a 3amp British plug. All fittings are genuine British parts, all hand-wired to a high, professional standard.
To give this upcycled vintage blowlamp added weight and stability, it has been secured to a plinth made from an old piece of distressed wood
Where the river braids out, it's nice paddling. But most of the Sloko is big, jumbled up boulder gardens. I paddled the biggest rapids I've ever paddled in an inescapable canyon one evening. Not many pictures because we were too busy paddling. But, toward the end, the river gets bigger and there are big, fun waves and cleaner rapids.
Some well-dressed women walking on the square in front of the Jokhang temple.Their rear view enables one to appreciate their splendid colourful hair braids.
Today is the end of my 30 day camera phone picture challenge. I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking to it each day.
It may be the end of this photo set, but its just the beginning for me. I look forward to continuing to post photos. And maybe, one day, I will actually have a real camera!

This is as good as it tends to get these days, lol!
My once enthusiastic subject doesn't seem to have the same desire as she once did to have her photo taken............. unless of course it's a posed self portait or with her friends.
Recently Bugalugs has found an interest in photography and started her own stream - [http://www.flickr.com/photos/courtneygrace/]
PS I generally communicate with her via FaceBook, Flickr & text messaging these days!
Since Terri and I both have long braids, she thought it would be fun to give out clip-on fake braids to the guests.
Wait until you see the creative uses our party guests put them to!
