Brading is everywhere. Daniel Chidoti's sister (Daniel is foreman to Masvingo) works as a braider in Botswana and can come home only now and again because she's in such demand.

BRAIDS | Halifax Pop Explosion 2013

That's what you call the 'bumps' on my hair. Doing this on wet hair, makes your hair wavy. The waves last a few days. Growing up (and amongst my family) - I called them "chiney bumps".

This week's theme was Stranded. One of the defintions for Strand was :

"one of a number of fibers, threads, or yarns that are plaited or twisted together to form a rope, cord, or the like"

So I just braided one strand of hair.

I (kind of) broke my kit lens and I could only manual focus...but I am starting to feel more like a photographer though :)

Now that I look at this photo I realize I am in such an awkward pose....
