This is the Pedro's bottom bracket socket and wrench. The bottom bracket cartridge was seized up and the socket would cam out of the splines before the bottom bracket would break free, so I needed a way to keep that socket locked in while I applied more force with a hammer.

By wedging the frame and using a 7ft section of scaffolding on the spanner, the BB eventually came loose. Took a lot of force even with that setup.

This crack was invisible until the boat lift put upward pressure on the amas. It will need to be repaired and reinforced. Most of the work can be done from inside the hull.

Shiny with a dull background, it stood out. I like how a lot of details of the bracket thing are visible. There aren't many ways to describe what this thing is but it made a good picture. I shot this in Mr. Treanklers room by the cabinet.

So I bought this reclaimed toilet, and it had a cistern that had to be mounted on the wall. Wanting to keep some sort of consistency, I then spent a not inconsiderable sum on a pair of wrought-iron Victorian brackets, lovingly painted them, and mounted them to the wall. And no-one ever sees them, because (ahem) gentlemen look at them straight on, while ladies have their back to them. So if you've ever had a wee in my bathroom, this is what you missed.
