Spotted during a round on Beckenham Place Park Golf Course in south London - I'm fairly sure it's a bracket fungus but any attempts at more precise identification welcomed.

Habitat: Old alluvial terrace of River Soča, flat terrain, former pasture, now light bush land, calcareous ground, fairly sunny and warm, exposed to direct rain, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 8-10 deg C, elevation 400 m (1.300 feet), alpine phytogeographical region.
Substratum: two stumps of a cut down small Fraxinus sp. (probably F. ornus) trees in initial stage of disintegration.
Place: Bovec basin, south of Bovec golf play ground, East Julian Alps, Posočje, Slovenia EC
Comments: Growing on two stumps, several large pileus of different age, pileus diameter up to 22 cm (8 inch), sterile surface white to beige, old caps overgrown with algae and mosses, context white, not zonate, pore surface white, light straw color on older pilei; SP faint, white. Pictures taken at below 0 deg C temperature and after a prolonged period of very cold weather (icy days with minimum temperatures -10 deg C (14 deg F)).
Spores smooth. Dimensions: 4.4 (SD = 0.4) x 2.3 (SD = 0.2) micr., Q = 1.88 (SD = 0.21), n = 25.

This variation of the bearing bracket widens the inner radius surrounding the bearing by 0.5mm. I also raised a 1mm ring around the top surface to strengthen the larger, upper tear-drop shaped bolt holes.
The arm of the flash bracket rotates so the flash remains above the lens when taking photos in portrait orientation. If the flash was off to the side, there would be potential for unpleasant shadows.
I really liked this shot, but I couldn't get the reflections, parking lot lights, seats, shadows and highlights on the ground all in my lighting range. Either everything but the seats was blown out, or the seats were in darkness. I used the bracketing function on my 20D and took ~9 shots on different settings and composited them in photoshop.

The bracket is held on to the camera with the 1/4" bolt and the wing nut. The nut will snug the bracket to the bottom of the camera securely.

This beautiful Iron Lantern and bracket set on top of a garden wall covered with Wisteria seen at Lytes Cary Manor in Somerset.
These are .036" cold-rolled steel brackets cut from blank sheet metal using a metal laser cutter. After the parts have been cut and removed from the sheet they are ready to be bent on a press brake machine. The press brake applies about 25 tons of force to create the 90 degree bent tab. Next, they will be plated so they will have a nice clean finish and not rust.
