image of the day and discovered the old 350D has auto-bracketing (on menu as AEB) and this image is a stack / HDR (need a better alignment tool) of three shots at -2, 0 and +2
oh, and as the 350d can only muster 4 images a second, and you have to hold down the shutter button, i think a tripod is a must for this
This photo: 1/80 [bracketed with 1/200, 1/500]
This photo let in the light most effectively to attract attention to the reflection in the water. I believe it is the best of the three. Although there is less distinction between the hills/sky in the background, I think it's the most effective capture of the scene.
Metered exposure -1EV
Not true bracketing as I only decreased the exposures, experience has taught that there is not usually an advantage to increasing exposure in these situations.
I use a photo app on my phone which has a fixed aperture so I changed the exposure by varying the shutter speed.

I froze stiff as a board while taking photos of today's sunset down by the lake. This is a composite blend of 3 photos bracketed by 2Ev, just for fun. Of course the gulls didn't hold still for all 3 shots, so they ghosted. Best viewed large.
The Brackets promo session. We're trying to get away from the usual lined up against a wall shot. This time it's lined up behind a fence.
I took the bracket off of the monitor's stand and mounted it to the frame. There's a small block of wood between the bracket and the frame, giving some extra space.
I originally thought this mystery bracket might have been to secure a broken headlight. That may have been true at one time but the headlight that came with the car was not broken. I'm not sure what else the mystery bracket might have been holding.
