Class 08 were built from 1955 to 1962 by various BR works. They are powered by an English Electric diesel rated at 298 kW (400 hp).
08 444 was built by BR Derby Works in November 1958 as D3559.
08 444 preserved at Bodmin and photographed on Thursday, May 8th, 2008.
