Two stunning signal boxes in stunning locations! Very pleased with these, and more than glad that I took the trip out to photograph them in their twilight days, weeks, months, or (hopefully!) years until they are abolished and control is transferred to a state-of-the-art signalling centre.
Alrewas and Lichfield Trent Valley Junction signal boxes work absolute block with one another on the line between Lichfield Trent Valley and Alrewas level crossing.
Lichfield Trent Valley Junction fringes to Aston SCC, and Alrewas slots to Derby PSB, I believe.
Had some fun today with one of the small drawers I salvaged from the jewelry box. I made a shadow box using shells and jute. This measures approximately 6 inches by 3-1/2 inches. I'm messy with glue but I enjoyed myself! :P
Natural lighting.
No flash (that i know of), hand held image.
This is a watch i found in an old box in my attic, it had definatly being abandoned because the box was covered with a thick lair of dust.
The box was really old and when i opened it the light was just shining nicely across it, the watch was stopped at the last time it had been used.

The town where I used to live in SC was in watermelon country. This roadside stand near where I used to live operated on trust. Just stop and pick out a melon and put your money in the Honesty Box.
Another dusk shot from Summerland, 2011. Mailboxes just up the road from Mum's house. I love the strong horizontal light and shadows at this time of day, and formal regularity of the boxes themselves.

Used my ghetto light studio tent (pvc pipes making a box, put some white sheet over it and use worklights for lighting)
View of the ridgeline and trail leading from the Wellsville Cone to Box Elder Peak the highest point in the Wellsville range.
Thorpe Park KFC forces you to have beans as a side :( I see how all 5 of these similar, previously limited edition meals now co-exist.
One morning while looking for Mexican Hog nosed snakes six of these Ornate Box Turtles were seen crossing the road. These are a protected species in Arizona and always fun to see.
