Even though both boxes are identical, Wrangler was annoyed that Freddy was in the box that he considered his. After an unsuccessful attempt to evict Freddy, Wrangler begrudgingly settled down in the other box.

It was amazing to watch a man make these out of old oil cans. He had a pair of old tin snips and he folded them by hand. He was selling them for 40 cents a piece. I almost bought one but we were worried for luggage space at the time.
The Paisley UK General Election 2019 held at the Lagoon Centre was predicted to have no surprises when it came to who would win and see the SNP candidates Mhairi Black and Gavin Newlands retain their seats. But there was one spur of excitement when the media were pulled aside and told someone had voted twice and the police under the eagle eyes of along the officials would remove the ballot from the box before the other ballots were counted. Though the suspect ballot its self would still counted since the legitimate person may have voted first and the second voter may have been the fraudster. Plus it was also pointed out there may have been a clerical error or a genuine mistake made, so the vote would stand.
As predicted the SNP did win after a long night waiting for the ballots to be read. So a huge thanks to everyone who took the time to pose for the photos in this photo album.

I am glad this box jellyfish was in a tank. I would hate to tangle with it in the sea.

Our spice box has a story. Michele spent six months at ANU before going to Caltech for a year. While she was in the US this box stored the dry-stock that she had acquired in Australia, awaiting her return. When we both moved to Canberra we retrieved this box from a cupboard in the geology department, and it became the spice box, added to, reinforced with duct tape, and occasionally spilled on.

Practicing with lighting.
Im planning some photos with cardboard props and masks. Just experimenting with the technical side.
I just bought a Canon 580EX II flash and I was trying it out.
For this shot I used a home-made snoot made from a pringles can. I plan to use this technique outside lighting the subjects face for emphasis.

There is a live monarch in that box. Slip the elastic, lift the lid, and wait for it to fly away to Mexico. Most monarchs only live 2-3 weeks, but every year during late summer a generation hatches that can survive up to eight months, allowing them to migrate down to Mexico, wait out the winter, and then start to head back. They won't make it back. They start mating again in the spring in places like Texas, and their kids will only live 2-3 weeks, flying north the whole time. Eventually they get to Canada and the cycle starts over again. The whole point of the tagging and Monarch Watch is to figure out how they do it.
