[Phone box has been moved a few yards away where it now houses a defibrillator. See my other photo of the new position, taken from opposite direction]

This box was a gift from my Grandma Jeanne to my Grandfather Daniel in December of 1924, when they'd been married a few years. It's always been on my mother's desk, and in Cairo, she had it fitted with a wrought iron frame. When we moved here to Brooklyn, she gave it to us and now it's got all our wedding memories in it.
It is, needless to say, very precious to me. I never met my grandfather but I remember Grandma Jeanne well - and the spidery, neat handwriting dedicating the box on the inside reminds me of her.

I don't usually buy TV dinner-type food, but it was on sale and the box looked decent. The result looked similar and was pretty good! Lots of shrimp and flavourful. Could use a little more salt or spice.

Personal study for my concept class. How can i make an object interesting by creating an inspiring environment. What's in the box? What is these people's connection to the box? What's the band between these people. Use your imagination and let your feelings create your own proper story...
Made from a $3 craft box I found at Michaels, which I then embroidered on. Astroman is embroidery, the rest is just paint. I also added some lining to make it a bit more plush inside.

time is passing by way too fast
the past week hasn't been a good one. It was full of pain in the arse and worries.
What you can see in here is our little Gecko lady Getrud in a box under a lamp (to give her at least a little bit of warmth). She suffered from necrosis in her tail after she had been bitten by her sister in a little fight a few days before. She needed to see a doctor the first time (and hopefully the last) in her life. Was a bit complicated though because, of course, the qualified reptile vet wasn't available at that time so that other vets tried their best during the days until the specialist came back. Now she's fine again. She still is 'in quarantine' in her box for a few days until we put her back into the terrarium.

No chasing involved here, just lucky enough to see this beauty while I was waliking a trail. They have been in decline due to pet traders loss of habitat and automobiles.

Somewhat of a rare box type, and this box is also rare. Letters are going to be the only thing that fit inside here; though some small padded envelopes would probably fit as well.
I covered this box using pages from a very old childrems book that I found at a boot sale. I then added a vintage sewing pattern, some old used and pretty stamps, an image from a tarot card, a few vintage buttons, a cameo, some stickers, scrapbooking paper and ribbon.I then covered the whole thing with clear varnish.
