Box pews in Tetbury's parish church of St Mary the Virgin. In the Cotswolds, UK
Access to the pews down either side of the church is from doors in corridors (or cloisters) that run down each side of the church. Each door gives an entrance to five pews, thus making the collection of alms by the Churchwardens a long and somewhat difficult process.

A beautiful adult male Eastern Box Turtle found crossing a road early in the morning after a night of heavy thunderstorms. During the heat of the summer months, this species and other turtles often estivate to avoid the hot and dry conditions. But heavy downpours can bring the turtles out where they search for prey and mates.
Those C420s are well maintained. We are a few miles south of Monett on the grade and these ALCOs aren't making any smoke. I guess their 25 car train wasn't very taxing.
Note the year on the box culvert - "1910".

Classic English telephone boxes. You're looking for one, then 4 come along. Shot in Blackpool, Lancashire.
This guy was along the path to work. Yeah, he was slow enough for me to go get the camera, lay on the sidewalk and take several shots. I've always liked turtles - even rescue them from roads.

Handcrafted sterling silver presentation or pill box with a natural blue lapis gemstone bezel set in 22K gold.
The entire box is hand fabricated by me.
The box has a shiny finish on the outside and matte finish on the inside.
I imagine this box as a great gift for someone to carry tiny things around with them.
The hinge is three part. There is a hidden clasp that keeps the box closed and secure.
I love the way the electric blue lapis cabochon contrasts with the buttery yellow of the 22 karat gold.
The box measures:
27.25 mm length (1.08 inch)
15.93 mm height (.6 inch)
22.15 mm width (.87 inch)
The lapis cabochon is a rectangular cushion cut stone and measures 14.5 mm by 12.75 mm.

This post box is pretty rare. It must be more than 100 years old. The VR means Victoria Regina and it is still in daily use.
A converted chocolate truffle box, free machine embroidery on gold coloured silk and lined with the same. It is about 5 inches diameter and 1 inch high
