A box canyon is closed and sometimes that provides interesting perspectives.

Une grosse boîte transportée à deux ?
Eh bien de deux choses l'une :
ou bien elle est très lourde...ou bien elle est très encombrante.
Ou alors les deux. J'hésite. :-))

I was looking for birds in the side yard, but instead found the annual high number of box elder bugs. I put the Raynox close-up lens on, and shot a few. This one was on the edge of a cherry leaf.
The vineyard next door is going through the autumnal change and the vines are gradually going dormant. Also dormant is the honesty box that resides at the entrance to the vineyard. During the summer and early fall, the box is usually overflowing with fruits and vegetables harvested from our individual gardens and orchards. The concept is to give a little, and to take a little. It's a nice form of neighborly kindness. I truly feel that in these times of global and national upheaval, local esprit de corps is critical to keeping our world sane.

Leather box for jewellery. It's my souvenir from the Podhale region (Southern Poland). I bought it many years ago. In this region you can find many leather products made for tourists :)

On an lightly overcast summer morning, Brownie, my tortoise-shell cat, keeps watch over the backyard of the house next door, from one of the cats' favorite perches—the old wooden rabbit hutch outside my bedroom window. The family next door has several small dogs, and the cats like to watch their high-energy morning play from the plywood top of the old hutch, safely situated behind the fence.

An invasive species originally from south east Asia and first recorded in the UK in 2007, presumably arriving on imported buxus plants. It is widespread in parts of Europe where it is considered a pest due to the damage its larvae can do to ornamental box hedges and topiary. It has now been recorded across much of Britain but is most numerous in the south.
BNSF Z-LACNYC9-06L grinds up the hill between Esperanza and Prado Dam with a quintet of GE units. The Z-train wraps nicely around the curve here above office parks and beneath houses I will never afford. A horse trail here provides a number of vantage points that are decently lit during summer mornings.
The still very active ex-GWR signal box at Liskeard in Cornwall, adds to its list of duties by taking on the role of backdrop for some of the glorious pink roses that abound the station just now.
Sorry, no trains in this one......

Smile on Saturday: Box
I was lacking a bit of inspiration with too many boxes to choose from when I thought of this. She was such a good girl! And was 'rewarded' :) 🐾💕
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of tickytacky,
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes all the same
