This summer wildflower is also known as Soapwort. Pioneers crushed the leaves and stem to produce a lather that substituted for soap.

It actually bounced off the lake water here with its reflection at bottom of frame. The wide swirling curves in the bubble are reflections of the short wall along the lake.
Kids blew bubbles as I was heading to my car. Tried to catch a couple of photos from a distance. Bubble is about 6 inches in diameter.
Little did these people know that they were being photographed. Wave hits boat, wifey with serious plastic boob job gets them bounced about a bit :)

This new downy woodpecker plopped down a little hard, looked a little surprised at himself, and then looked around at everything.
A better look at his cradle cap in a 2nd shot, below.
La respuesta de El Yunque ante el embate del Huracán María es recuperarse. ¡Que gran ejemplo!
El Yunque's response to the onslaught of Hurricane Maria is to recover. What a great example!
Paprika's ecstatic now with all the response from her previous photo, not only that, it reached Front Page explore and ranked #8 (Nov. 21,09) *dies of happiness*. Seriously I really didn't know anything about FP explore not before this ^_^ Big thanks to all who liked that Photo ^_^
I also changed her eyechips if you've noticed, as much as I really love her stock ones, I just tried this for a change, and it still look a lot like her old ones though :)
Also, someone special is coming home to Paprika, (eek I'm excited)
One of almost 700 trials to capture a moving d20 (20-sided die) for the "Motion Blur" theme in Macro Mondays.
I tried some rolling, some spinning, and some bouncing.
This entire series is unedited except for a little brightening and even less contrast adjustment.
This is an "abstract-y" image coming from a tall wall lamp with it's light bouncing on our wall. I noticed this appealing appearance while I was putting my youngest to sleep.
I am attaching the original image below for your reference.

As I edit this photo, my husband and I are also watching the movie "Bobby" and this song was played during the part where Senator Robert Kennedy was giving his last speech.
Hello darkness, my old friend,
Ive come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone,
neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of
A neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one deared
Disturb the sound of silence.
Fools said i,you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you.
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed
In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming.
And the signs said, the words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.
And whisperd in the sounds of silence.
