One final upload (for now.....) from a Canary Wharf shoot with model Alana Katerina W. a couple of months ago.

Canary Wharf proved to be a great location as there's such a variety of backgrounds within a short walk. Here we've made use of some reflected sunlight bouncing back off a glass facade to provide some flattering, softer lighting. Having uploaded a colour version of this a few days ago I think, on reflection, that this sepia version probably works better.

Two shots from Tinsley a few weeks back as the rain bounces down.

One showing the reflection of the loco just arrived from Action, the second showing the trucks lined up ready to receive their load and take it to the former Thurcroft colliery to fill the void.

I feel lucky, to have got a Few Pic's of these Bushit's bouncing from limb too limb.

M62-1211 of Pol-Miedź Trans lifts empty wagons towards Knurów on the Gierałtowice triangular junction. March the 15th 2023.

We had spent some time on the Ornontowice leg of this junction, the line seen heading right in the picture. But nothing came along this single line to the coal mine a few kilometres beyond but two trains headed by the ET22 electrics went up this way towards Knurów. I decided that before leaving the area we should check the loop by the Gierałtowice cabin a kilometre further back, which can be sighted from the main road at the far end of the village. There was a train there, leaving under a pall of black smoke. About turn, quickly - well as fast as village speed restrictions and traffic ahead would allow. As we approached this spot the train was already coming around the bend, picking up speed. Bouncing down the side road as far as I dared in our hired Fiat 500 convertible it was a case of jumping out, check the camera setting, compose and fire. This train was a bonus, double so with this loco as our intention had been to head straight for Knurów.

Cotswold vintage car trials

Bouncing around the usual suspects to test out a new addition - a Takumar 85/1.8 from 1962. Feels like fun so far.

From my days in the Upper Peninsula, an eastbound local from Watersmeet passes through Beechwood, Mich., passing the general store on Nov. 13, 1981. Power is a C425. The train is destined for Iron Mountain and eventually Escanaba, even at this time operations out to Watersmeet were getting pretty rare.

This one goes way back to 2008!

The effect you get when sunlight hits the silk of a spider web is amazing. Arachtober 31 and Web Wednesday.

This was my first attempt at getting liquid to bounce/jump as a result of a sound.

The sound comes from a speaker covered with a piece of a stretched balloon. I do not have a sound trigger so the shots were taken manually (and flash fired by radio transmitter). I used a CD of F1 engine sounds (the wheel gun works best). The set up shot shows the layout. Canon 50D with EFS 60mm macro at f11. Canon 580 at 1/16th through home made grid and Yongnuo 460 at 1/8th through snoot. The black cards were to stop light spilling onto the background.

Because the sound is not one single note (despite how hard I tried to get a brief segment of sound) the liquid (coloured milk) goes everywhere and focus is a nightmare and not great on these pics.

The set up is on my work bench which means making a mess was not too much of a problem but it was getting cold as there is no heating out there.

I will think this over and have another go at some point.

Red and Orange paint, abrasion, corrosion, what more do you want to find?

Ballybunion beach on St Patrick's Day (March 17, 2009) The day was beautiful and the beach was busy. That baby was in safe hands and really enjoying the fun.

I did offer to snap them as a group and they were delighted to accept. Us photographers understand each other!

took this pic through one of those machines you put a quarter in at the supermarket :)

What has become an annual event that just keeps on keeping on, is the Auto fest Spring car Nats held in Shepparton. Here is a link to the event organisers page, autofest.com.au/.

The event has been going for over 30 years, and for many there is no better way to spend the weekend than with like-minded people, as the entrants burn rubber with an excess of horsepower, that is thankfully quite obscene : )

There was and is everything from the go to woe, handling events, drifting, and of cause burn outs! Burnouts bouncing of the rev limiting, literally hitting the red line burnouts. How much rubber do they burn, enough so I can smell it from my house nearly a mile away : ) PS the smoke signals might be cultural appropriation, so some one should bring along a Pontiac and make it officially ok : P

Jack Danniels www.jackdaniels.com/en-au has a bar, so Tennessee is represented, although in the main part, not much American iron turns up at the event in comparison to the Australian contingent and Japanese cars.

V8s are the flavor, although you might be surprised like I was this year to see a Honda S2000 turn up, a pleasant inclusion, with one of the all-time great 4 bangers in it.

Black snot is a thing, that is if you can handle the close quarters action! You might like to take some year plugs, even then for about mile you will still be able to hear the cars at it.

As a car enthusiast I enjoy the day, friendly people getting their thing on, and having a great time.

PS. Make sure you drink lots of water, and keep hydrated!
