Mr and Mrs duck going about their business on the waterways, preening and bobbing for weed. Mrs duck was bobbing for ages while Mr duck continued preening himself to look his best.

This was harder than I thought. I've been looking for interesting bottoms of things all week. Finally I found something in the kitchen yet again (Many interesting things are found there ;-) ). I thought the bottom of a frying pan had an interesting pattern to play with depth of field. Hope you like it. HMM.

The bottom of a small Edingburgh crystal glass.(2.5") I tried several things for this theme but settled on this.
Natural light,no flash, & cropped at the sides to make a square crop.

No creatures were intentionally harmed in the making of this image. This fellow apparently died of natural causes. No murder weapon was found at the scene.

Just in case you were worried that yesterday's lime was going to waste... here it is mixed with a little Plymouth gin and tonic water. G&T in hand, sprawled on the lawn in the baking sun... an old traditional English summer. I've even got my shorts on (although no evidence in this shot ;-) ). Let's hope for more days like this!
I've cleaned multiple tiny objects in the past several years, thanks to Janet Towbin and the Macro Mondays group.
And this weekend I held objects up to the light, took them apart, and then thoroughly cleaned each part to decide if a worthy macro subject.
This decades old pepper grinder required finding a tinier than usual Phillips screwdriver and the soaking of parts. The bottom of small objects look terrific around the house.
Diameter = 2.38 inches / 6.03 centimeters. The top of the similar salt mill forms a few bokeh balls on the right. Flashpoint 620 as continuous light helps to illuminate the metal bottom.

The bottom side of puzzle peices. The background is the bottom side of a sparkly bowl.
In-N-Out Burger, a fast-food restaurant chain with locations in the western USA, prints references to Bible verses in small print on areas of packaging including the bottom of their drinking cups.
This inspired me to submit an image for the Macro Mondays theme this week, "Bottoms Up."

This pretty little seed eater was upside down feeding in this photograph.
I tried to get a good shot of this Goldfinch but as you can see its a bum shot....
Maybe next time I'll be lucky ? just a little bit of nature fun I hope its given someone a laugh ? Cheers.
